Havgas gorge hiking tour

Havgas gorge is located above Lassithi plateau, within the mountain region of Dikti. The gorge ascends to the beautiful lake of Neraidokolimpos, at the base of a small waterfall with a round boulder. Here the local tradition says that the fairies of the gorge used to have their bath. The landscape inside the gorge, which is part of the E4 trail, is one of the most stunning of the region. The river that flows inside the gorge has water usually in winter and spring after heavy rains or snowfalls, while the lake of Neraidokolimpos has water all year round. It is surely one of the highlights of Dikti moutain region that you should visit.
