The earliest cultivation of olive trees for the purpose of oil production took place in Crete around 3000 BC. Symbol of the goddess Athena and with a history tied to the Minoan civilization, olive trees can be seen wherever you look in Crete. Cretan olive oil is the core of this tour. You will visit a beautiful olive grove, an olive mill and get to actively participate in the production process and taste different oil varieties. You will also have the chance to visit a cave of historical importance, cook dishes of the Cretan cuisine using traditional local products, walk through nature and pick fresh herbs, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Aegean sea and stroll around picturesque villages.
