Kroustas Forest Park is one of the largest forest areas of Crete and a Natura 2000 protected area.
Here you will find the little-known beauty of the island, beautiful pine forests, clean mountain air, hiking trails leading for many miles and spectacular views of Mirabello Bay and Thripti mountains.
See ancient Minoan buildings, old farmyards and cretan lodges. The hike is about 5km long. This is a unique corner of Eastern Crete of exceptional beauty and rich nature. If you want to see the greener part of the island, forests, mountains and historical Minoan buildings thousands of years old, then this hike is definitely the one you should go for.
After our hike we will have the time to enjoy a refreshing swim at the beach of Voulisma with it’s crystal blue waters.
