The journey begins in the charming village of Anogia, where we can enjoy a coffee or refreshment at the village square and soak in the local atmosphere. Next, we visit the Sfendoni Cave at Zoniana, at the foot of Psiloritis — one of the region’s most impressive natural wonders, teeming with stalactites, stalagmites, and unique formations shaped by nature.
We continue to a traditional shepherd’s farm on the foothills of Psiloritis, located within a UNESCO-protected natural heritage park. Explore the farm’s garden, meet and feed animals such as deer, Kri Kri goats, pigs, sheep, and donkeys. Learn about sustainable farming practices, try making your own cheese at the shepherd’s cave, and use it to prepare traditional cheese pies.
The experience culminates with a hearty Antikristo lamb lunch, prepared in the traditional way, a genuine farm-to-table experience that brings us closer to authentic Cretan flavors and traditions.
