Characteristic route to the discovery of the traditional Cretan life. Our first stop is at the village of Potamies. We will visit a traditional local shepherd’s farm where we will see the process of milking and cheese making, and taste traditional products. Our next stop is at Aposelemis dam, the largest water reservoir in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. We continue uphill on dirt roads to the gorge of Embassa. Impressive mountains and wildlife nature with unique views. We will have the opportunity to collect local herbs. It’s time for cooking lessons from local professionals. Participation in the preparation of dishes from pure ingredients and local products. Our next stop is at a pottery workshop where we will participate in the creation of our own ceramics. Leaving Lassithi Plateau, our last stop is in the picturesque village of Krasi with its Fountains and the imposing centuries-old plane trees among which is the oldest plane tree in Crete. Full of beautiful images and unforgettable experiences, we return to our hotel!
